Volunteer abroad program in Jamaica and South Africa open to OHIO students

The nonprofit organization One Heart Source is currently accepting applications for a variety of two- to four-week volunteer abroad programs in Jamaica and South Africa. Volunteer responsibilities would be based primarily in mentoring and teaching, in line with One Heart Source’s mission of empowering young people to have greater opportunity, choice and freedom through access to high quality education.

Volunteers will help students to achieve measurable academic growth and cultivate lifelong relationships. Meanwhile, volunteers will have the opportunity to collaborate with university students from around the world, developing leadership and entrepreneurial skills while pursing social justice and immersing themselves in another culture through service, workshops and excursions.

The application deadline is October 23. For more information, contact Farook Khan at farook@oneheartsource.org, visit www.oneheartsource.org or click here to read the stories of past volunteers.
