Crowdfunding 101: What, Why and How with Bob Cohen this Friday

Bob Cohen, CEO of the Braintree Business Development Center in Mansfield, will speak on crowdfunding as part of the Center for Entrepreneurship’s guest lecture series this Friday, Oct. 23, 2015 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Innovation Center 103.

Cohen is a Certified Business Advisor (CBA®), a Certified Global Business Professional, and a founding board member of the Crowdfunding Professional Association. He holds a master of business administration degree from Franklin University and a doctorate from Ohio University. His current employer, Braintree Business Development Center, is a regional incubation and entrepreneurial center that is part of Ohio’s Third Frontier Technology Incubation Program and the JumpStart Entrepreneurial Network. Cohen previously served on the faculty of The Ohio State University, and as director of an international development program.

During this guest lecture series event hosted by the Center for Entrepreneurship and TechGROWTH Ohio, the following topics will be discussed:

  • How to choose between nearly 500 platforms
  • Determining how much to ask for
  • Developing product offerings and pricing
  • Perfecting the pitch
  • Crafting the video
  • Promoting the campaign
