The Ohio University Student Senate Alumni Society, in collaboration with the current Student Senate, will host its third annual advocacy forum on February 18 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. This year’s topic is the cost of higher education. The event offers interested students and alumni an opportunity to engage in important discussion about this issue while networking with fellow Bobcats.
The forum will address how Ohio University’s costs compare to its peer schools, the implications of rising higher education costs and what the Ohio legislature and Ohio University’s leadership are doing to address rising costs.
Registration is from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., when guests can network and enjoy refreshments. The advocacy panel begins at 6:30 p.m. and will feature speakers including Ohio Board of Higher Education Chancellor John Carey and Ohio Senate President Keith Faber. Additional speakers will be announced in the coming weeks.
