Seeking funding to explore creative and academic interests?
The Provost’s Undergraduate Research Fund (PURF) provides awards up to $1,500 to support the research and creative activity of undergraduate students on Ohio University’s Athens and regional campuses. The funds may be used for direct expenses related to conducting research and creative activity, including supplies, materials and travel. They also may be used to attend conferences to present research or creative activity.
Last fall, the Provost’s Undergraduate Research Fund provided $56,218 for student projects, granting 49 out of 89 proposals. This year, the program seeks to do roughly the same, empowering students to pursue creative and research projects. However, the deadline is quickly approaching.
Apply by 4 p.m. on Thursday, September 22 for a chance to receive funding.
