Only a few days remain until the October 14, 2016 deadline for early admission to the national entrepreneurship competition Student Startup Madness. Teams that apply for early admission will have less competition for the 20 open spots and more time to work on their pitch if selected for the semifinals.
The competition begins with an online application to determine the top 64 teams. These teams will then compete in the first round of an online competition and cut the pool in half. Semifinal regional rounds for the 32 teams battle for one of the “Entrepreneurial Eight” spots, and the chance to present to a celebrity panel at South By Southwest.
Student Startup Madness is a national entrepreneurship competition for college students to compete against students across the country. The Student Startup Madness formed from the work between Sean Branagan, director of the Center for Digital Media Entrepreneurship at the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University, and South By Southwest.
