The Career and Leadership Development Center (CLDC) at Ohio University will offer six, Prepare for the Fair workshops leading up to the Career and Internship Fair on Tuesday, Feb. 14. Each workshop will be 5:30 – 6:30 p.m. in Baker University Center 366.
- Dress for Success will be held on Monday, Feb. 6. Ways to obtain professional attire on a budget will be discussed.
- Hunting and Gathering will be on Tuesday, Feb. 7 and will cover the best ways to go about a job search.
- Bragging Rights will take place on Wednesday, Feb. 8. Topics covered will involve resume and cover letter sharpening as well as learning how to tailor these documents to your own brand.
- Who Are You and Why Should I Care? Keys to Networking Success will be held on Thursday, Feb. 9. This workshop will encourage reflection on personal leadership brand and professional networking.
Additionally, the CLDC will offer an opportunity to sharpen interview skills on Mock Interview Day. This event will take place on Thursday, Feb. 9 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Baker 533.
Alden Library will also offer a hands-on workshop with business librarian Chad Boeninger. This workshop will take place on Thursday, Feb. 9 from 3-4 p.m. in Alden 251. Boeninger will offer techniques and tools for expanding company or industry knowledge beyond a basic Google search. This event will focus on using business and industry research tools to help you research a company you want to work with.
