About the Voinovich School

The Voinovich School

The George Voinovich School of Leadership and Public Affairs engages students, faculty and professional staff through its academic and applied scholarship to improve the state of Appalachian Ohio. The school employs multidisciplinary project teams to assist business, nonprofit, and government partners in three core areas: policy innovation and strategic leadership, energy and the environment, and entrepreneurship and regional development.

The Voinovich School partners with colleges and other academic units of Ohio University to educate students and provide applied learning opportunities. Over 170 students work with the Voinovich School, including those in Masters of Public Administration (MPA), Masters of Science in Environmental Studies (MSES) and Honors Tutorial College (HTC) programs.

The Voinovich School Blog

This blog was launched during the 2010/2011 school year to provide prospective MPA students and others with a resource to learn more about the program through the academic, professional and personal insights of MPA students themselves. A year later, the blog expanded to engage MSES and HTC students as well.
