Amanda is a second year Master of Public Administration candidate. She received her undergraduate degree from Ohio University, studying Political Science, History and Spanish. She currently works as a Graduate Research Assistant for the Voinovich School on a U.S. Department of Commerce Economic Development Administration funded grant called REAP, the Regional Economic Advancement Program, which provides technical assistance in the area of economic development to communities throughout Appalachian Ohio.
She has also gained professional experience by working as the Volunteer Coordinator at Passion Works Studio in Athens, OH, and as the Summer 2011 intern at Habitat for Humanity of Ohio. In her spare time, Amanda enjoys catching up on classic literature, shamelessly listening to pop music, and Zumba.
She plans to move to Washington D.C. after graduation to work for the government, nonprofit sector, or private consulting in the areas of economic development, program and nonprofit management, and strategy.
