I am a second year graduate student pursuing a Master of Science in Environmental Studies with a focus on international sustainability and communication. I am funded by the U.S. Forest Service this year to carry out thesis research pertaining to urban sustainability, specifically urban composting. After a summer spent in Scotland studying sustainable development and conducting thesis research, I feel energized and inspired to continue challenging social norms during my second year living at the Ecohouse.
While earning my undergraduate degree in Conservation Science at Muskingum University, I became an active voice for environmental issues in my community as Miss Southeastern Ohio 2008 and continue to do so as Miss Muskingum Valley 2011. I cherish the opportunity to fuse my personal and professional interests, and I am excited to continue expanding my knowledge about green living while sharing my experiences with the community and students around the state.
